The podcast is owned by boxer and social media personality Jake Paul’s company Betr. She has hosted guests including Wiz Khalifa, Mark Cuban and Brooke Schofield on her podcast. Last month, Welch launched an AI-powered dating app, “Pookie Tools,” which includes a chatbot that helps with conversation starters, dating app profile tips and date outfit recommendations.
Elsewhere, there has been a lot of commentary on the internet about Welch’s failed cryptocurrency, including Joe Rogan sharing an unsympathetic take on what happened and one streamer saying her career is already “over”.
Fans and investors have accused Ms Welch and her team of “misleading” and “betraying” them and suggested the launch had been a “rug pull” – where promoters of a cryptocurrency draw in buyers, only to stop trading activity and make off with money raised from sales.
A lawsuit has been filed accusing overHere, its founder Clinton So, social media influencer Alex Larson Schultz and the Tuah The Moon Foundation (which is understood to have overseen the finances of the meme coin) of unlawfully promoting and selling cryptocurrency that was allegedly never properly registered.
